and election law
Opened in 2020 as a joint degree with the University of Luxembourg, the Master's degree in Parliamentary Studies and Assembly Law is now offered by Aix-Marseille Université's Faculty of Law and Political Science, and is taught entirely in Aix-en-Provence.
Part of the Public Law specialization, the two-year course (M1 and M2) is entirely devoted to the law of the land, with a particular emphasis on parliamentary law, assembly law and voting law in the first year.
The Master 2 is open to apprentices, enabling students to consolidate their knowledge and skills within partner structures that take on apprentices on a sandwich basis.
While perfecting their legal culture in public law, students will deepen their understanding and analysis of the different types of decision-making processes and control and evaluation functions specific to institutions and deliberative assemblies, as well as their human components, both political and administrative.
Putting standards into practice is essential to mastering the various mechanisms and mechanisms for creating standards. Through writing assignments (book reports, dissertations, etc.) and role-playing exercises (legislative drafting, etc.), students will be able to assess the challenges of deliberative processes in a public context strongly marked by deontological and ethical issues.
Students will become experts in legislative and other deliberative institutions, capable of responding to the cultural, economic, scientific and technological challenges facing standards and laws in the 21st century. This expertise will be underpinned by practical exercises and professionalization, accentuated by a compulsory 4-6 month internship in the second year (S4).
